The shape is based on a pentagon. The pentagon is present in the dodecahedron, which is one of the two dual polyhedra related to the Bascetta Star origami model created by Paolo Bascetta.
Let me introduce you to the latest art project I collaborated on. I am proud to have been part of the hashtag#BascettaStar40 campaign—my first collaboration with an origami artist, the great Paolo Bascetta. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of his pyramidal icosahedron star, a communication identity was created to host an online creators’ challenge and share the story of how the star was born. The identity was also applied to merchandise that we took to the German Origami Convention 2025 in Berlin.
