My name is Pilar and I grew up in a wetland. I cannot separate my body and my experience from the environment around me. The river showed me its abundance and its pollution made me an active defender of my environment. I was an entrepreneur and founded one of the first companies of products and services for home gardening and composting in Argentina. I have been living in a semi-rural place, practicing and learning different ways of growing food. I am an educator, trained at the School of Design at the University of Buenos Aires and in agricultural workshops, enriched by diversity and creativity to improve season after season. My greatest success as a designer and urban farmer was that little birds chose a dried pumpkin I had planted, harvested and intervened, to build a nest and raise their chicks in my galley two springs in a row. I am finishing my master's thesis on design and composting as an environmentally active practice. My interest is focused on the different scales of soil: from land uses to non-human agents and new perspectives on nature in search of a subtle relationship to the landscape.
